Tuscan Dream wedding – Castello di Vincigliata, Florence
Charley & Tom, Castello di Vincigliata
Living the Tuscan dream…
We are so honoured to have been part of Charley & Tom’s Tuscan dream wedding at Castello di Vincigliata. Oh what beautiful day is was! The sun shone down on the outdoor terraces and water garden, creating the picture perfect day for the couple.
In the hills of Fiesole overlooking Florence, Castello di Vincigliata played host to the couple’s fairytale wedding, stunningly captured by M & J Photography and most recently featured on Rock My Wedding…
Take a Suzanne Neville gown, beautifully tailored suits, a drop of Italian gourmet food by Guidi Lenci and of course gelato, peachy florals and pastel corals by Le Petit Jardin, finished with a sparkling evening of champagne, a live saxophone DJ and disco ball by Alma Project, you have one spectacular wedding…
Read on to find out how Wedinitaly helped the gorgeous couple to fulfill their Tuscan dream and how Charley and Tom, (together with a few wonderful suppliers…) really know how to throw a party!
Charley was always looking for something classic in her style of dress, but also something that she could swap out and change the look during the day. After a fair amount of hunting and surfing the net, she found her one, by Suzanne Neville, a beautiful flare gown, strapless with lace, with a few bespoke alterations made to it, including silk organza. The lace shoulder overlay added the finishing touch to the gown, with a stunning belt. Her headress was from Jenny Packham along with a statement veil by Helen Martin. Charley’s bridal look was stylishly finished with a pair of twinkling Christian Louboutins to accompany her down the aisle.
The Bridesmaids wore gowns from Maid to Measure, the style was Amy in soft peach.
The original idea for Tom was to put him in a black and white Tux, which for a destination wedding in the height of summer, is never a good idea. Tom wore a three piece suit tailored by Trotter & Deane, of linen and wool mix. We simply loved the relaxed look and colourful bow tie!
Tom’s groomsmen wore linen jackets from Savoy Taylors Guild and chinos from Tommy Hilfiger.
It was no wonder that Charley and Tom picked Castello di Vincigliata as their wedding venue. Not only does it have that nostalgic charm and character for a fairytale backdrop to wow their guests.
It’s biggest selling point has got to be the view onto Italy’s art capital, Florence. The 13th Century Castle is licensed for civil ceremonies on the open terrace, and also provides a courtyard setting for the dinner, surrounded by the Castle’s turrets, stunning stone features and water garden.
As the sun set on the wedding, the courtyard was soon transformed into a sparkling night club, with a penguin shaped Vodka luge, disco ball and champagne fountain, what more could you ask for, at Castello di Vincigliata – it was party time!
